Task Session Lock

Enables you to implement 'Tab Restriction' to your app, allowing you to control if a task can be opened in multiple tabs or restricted to a single tab.

Exlusive Lock

Tab Restriction

When enabled, attempting to open the same task in Tab2 (irrespective of being a different users) triggers the following tab-restriction process:

Scenario 1: When Tab1 is Online

Tab2 Prompt:

Tab Restriction

  • Force Release: Confirms opening the task in Tab2.
  • Cancel: Keeps the task in Tab1.
Tab1 (Auto-Close) Notification:

Tab Restriction

Scenario 2: When Tab1 is Offline - Without Changes

Tab2 opens without any notification. And, when Tab1 comes online, it gets the auto-close notification.

Scenario 3: When Tab1 is Offline - With Changes

Tab1 Prompt (When back Online):

Tab Restriction

  • Discard My Changes: Discards changes made in Tab1 and closes it.
  • Save My Changes: Pushes changes made in Tab1 to Tab2 (and closes Tab1), forcing a pop-up notification in Tab2.
Tab2 Prompt:

Tab Restriction

  • Keep Current Version: Discards the changes pushed from Tab1.
  • Accept Changes: Accepts the changes from Tab1 and merges them into Tab2. In the event of data conflicts within same fields, the incoming data from Tab1 takes precedence.

User-Specific Lock

Tab Restriction

Enforces the 'Tab Restriction' to individual users, allowing each user to open the task, but only within a single tab.
